It was New Years Eve and I was asked to bring dessert. We were all over sweets and cakes so I decided to take fruit, but that can also be a bit boring. So to jazz it up I decided to also take some dips.
The obvious one was chocolate, but I had no cream, I found this recipe and it's a winner. I did have sour cream, and found one for a simple dip, but a friend also gave me another one for sour cream, so here are the three dips that go well with fruit.
CHOCOLATE DIP
Place in a small saucepan 1/4 cup dutch chocolate powder, 1/2 cup sugar, pinch good sault 1/4 cup water and a glug of vanilla paste. Cook until the sugar is dissolved.
SOUR CREAM AND MAPLE DIP
Could not be easier, mix up some sour cream, add maple syrup a glug at a time and taste until you like the taste of the dip.
FANCY SOUR CREAM DIP
To go even a bit fancier, mix your sour cream with a little brown sugar and then add a little Tia-Maria liqueur until you like the taste. Very fancy, but sooooo delicious.
